Dear Friends,

Welcome to the second issue of NueVista View, the NueVista Group quarterly online newsletter.

As promised, it’s our goal to deliver worthwhile marketplace perspectives and valuable IT insights with each newsletter; and at the launch of this issue of NueVista View, the general vibe in the business community seems to be much more positive than it was at this time last year. And rightly so! It seems most companies have completed downsizing efforts and many are planning to hire again in the coming months.

In fact, historically the IT professional services industry has been a leading indicator of what’s going on in the economy. It’s typical that when the economy is down, many companies put off full time hiring until they are certain their growth will be sustained. At NueVista, we’ve experienced a definite increase in discussions regarding new projects, which tells me that companies will soon start hiring and economic recovery is coming to fruition.

	IT Staffing Predictions Rise for 2010 A recent poll from CIO.com says that CIOs will have more money to spend on staffing in 2010, and at the same time, retaining existing talent will move into a priority spot as the outlook for IT improves. Learn more.
	IT Sector Halves the General Unemployment Rate While the general unemployment rate hovered around 10% at the end Q4 2009, IT came in at about half that rate. Why? Businesses reinstituting projects that were put on delay because of the recession is one factor. Learn more.
